Summary of Legislation: This bill requires the Commissioner of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) to
include an update on the status of the development of a secure and uniform system to issue mobile credentials
in the report for the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation.
Effective Date: July 1, 2025.
Explanation of State Expenditures: This bill is expected to have a minimal impact on the BMV to provide
information to the Interim Committee on Roads and Transportation concerning the status of mobile
credentials.
