SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MR. PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION to honor Todd M. Duncan for
2 his service and commitment to the skilled trades and SMART
3 (Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation) Union.
4 Whereas, Todd was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on
5 August 21, 1962, graduated from Greenwood High School, and
6 attended IUPUI for two years;
7 Whereas, Todd has been a faithful member of Local #20
8 since November 1980, a 41-year member, including 28 years as
9 a job foreman, six years as an industrial worker, and a four-
10 year apprenticeship. He has received his 25-year pin and also
11 received the SMACNA 1995 Excellence Award;
12 Whereas, Todd has served SMART Local #20 as President,
13 Indianapolis/Lafayette Business Representative, Lafayette
14 JATC Board member, and Political Director;
15 Whereas, In various capacities Todd serves Tippecanoe
16 Building Trades, Central Indiana Building Trades, Central
17 Labor Committee of the Indiana AFL-CIO, Indiana Executive
18 Board of the Indiana AFL-CIO, and Hoosier Heartland
19 American Labor Federation; and

1 Whereas, Todd and his wife Beth have one son. He enjoys
2 his time with family, baseball, and traveling: Therefore,
3 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
4 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
5 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate recognizes Todd M.
6 Duncan.
7 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
8 to transmit two copies of this Resolution to the family of Todd
9 M. Duncan.
