SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MR. PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION memorializing Rodrick Shane
2 Lambert.
3 Whereas, Rodrick Shane Lambert was born on January 11,
4 1972, in Franklin, Indiana;
5 Whereas, Rodrick Lambert graduated from Franklin
6 Community High School in 1991, joined the Wayne Township
7 Fire Department in 1992, and received his second-class
8 firefighter certification in 1994;
9 Whereas, Rodrick was a fixture at Wayne Township fire
10 stations, bringing his infectious spirit, smile, and inspiration to
11 firefighters;
12 Whereas, Rodrick's courageous character allowed him to
13 overcome adversity;

15 Whereas, Rodrick was a member of Olivet Missionary
16 Baptist Church; and
17 Whereas, Rodrick is preceded in death by his grandmother
18 Jessie Mae Pruitt and his aunts Theresa Myers and Constance

1 Pruitt. Rodrick is survived by his father Steve Lambert, his
2 mother Sharon Kay, his son Michael Allen Lambert, and his
3 grandson Chet Michael Lambert: Therefore,
4 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
5 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
6 SECTION 1. The Indiana State Senate expresses its
7 sympathy and sincere condolences to the family and friends of
8 Rodrick Shane Lambert and thanks him for his service to the
9 Wayne Township Fire Department.
10 SECTION 2. That the Secretary of the Senate is hereby
11 directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to the Wayne
12 Township Firefighter Memorial.
