SUPPLEMENTAL NOTE ON HOUSE BILL NO. 2332

Brief*
HB 2332 would update the Kansas Department of
Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) statutes to reflect Executive
Reorganization Order (ERO) No. 48 that became effective on
July 1, 2021. ERO No. 48 transferred the Division of Tourism
and the Office of the Director of Tourism from KDWP to the
Department of Commerce. The bill would also make technical
amendments.
Background
The bill was introduced by the House Committee on
Agriculture and Natural Resources at the request of
Representative Rahjes on behalf of the KDWP.

In the House Committee hearing, proponent testimony
was provided by a representative of the Department of
Commerce, stating the bill would reflect the action of ERO
No. 48. No other testimony was provided.
Fiscal Information
According to the fiscal note prepared by the Division of
the Budget on the bill, enactment of the bill would have no
fiscal effect.
