SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2833 by House Committee on Taxation
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2833 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2833 would amend the definition of “veteran” and “disabled veteran” throughout
Kansas statutes to create a common definition and clarify disability evaluations for benefits granted
to disabled veterans.
According to the Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs Office and the Kansas
Department of Revenue, enactment of HB 2833 would not have a fiscal effect on agency operations
for either agency.
