SENATE SUBSTITUTE FOR SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 2 007

Brief*
Senate Sub. for Sub. for HB 2007 would reconcile amendments to statutes that were
amended more than once during the current and prior legislative sessions. For such statutes,
the bill would repeal one version and, if necessary, amend the continuing version with non-
contradictory amendments, creating a single version of the statute containing all amendments.
[Note: The Office of Revisor of Statutes submits a bill of this type each legislative session
to reconcile and consolidate conflicting versions of the statutes.]
Conference Committee Action
The Conference Committee agreed to remove the contents of Senate Sub. for Sub. for HB
2007, relating to expenditure and funding adjustments in fiscal year (FY) 2025 through FY 2027,
and insert provisions to reconcile statutory conflicts.
Background
On April 10, 2025, the Conference Committee removed the contents of Senate Sub. for
Sub. for HB 2007, as amended by the Senate, and inserted provisions to reconcile statutory
conflicts.
