SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2033 by House Committee on Education
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2033 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
Current law requires the Department of Education to approve and provide a list of at-risk
educational programs that provide best practices and evidence-based instruction to students for at-
risk programs for school districts. HB 2033 would add any nonprofit organization that is
accredited by the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council to a list of
approved programs required by statute to be approved by the Department.
According to the Department of Education, the enactment of HB 2033 would have no fiscal
effect.
