SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2335 by House Committee on Insurance
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2335 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2335 would add “maternity center” to the definition of “healthcare provider” in statutes
regarding professional liability insurance requirements for health care providers.
The Healthcare Stabilization Fund, the Kansas Insurance Department, and the Kansas
Department of Health and Environment state that enactment of HB 2335 would have no fiscal
effect.
