This reduction could come from contractual services for information and technology services. The agency’s employee who performs the filing of bonds for the bonded warehouseman would be utilized for other projects and therefore could reduce the need for temporary or contractual staff. The Office of the Attorney General, the Kansas Water Office, and the Office of Judicial Administration indicate SB 13 would not have a fiscal effect on agency operations. Any fiscal effect associated with SB 13 is not reflected in The FY 2026 Governor’s Budget Report. The Kansas Association of Counties indicates SB 13 would not have a fiscal effect on counties.
