Topeka, Kansas 66612

Dear Senator Erickson:

SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for SB 77 by Senate Committee on Government Efficiency

In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning SB 77 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.

SB 77 would require state agencies proposing to revoke regulations to provide a written
notice to businesses, local governmental units, and members of the public known to the agency to
be affected by the proposed revocation. The bill would also remove certain abolished or inactive
state agencies from the five-year agency review requirement of the Joint Committee on
Administrative Rules and Regulations.

The Secretary of State, Department of Revenue, Office of the Attorney General,
Department of Agriculture, Department for Aging and Disability Services, Department of Wildlife
and Parks, Department of Labor, Department for Children and Families, Department of Health and
Environment, and Department of Administration indicate enactment of the bill would not have a
fiscal effect on the agencies.

 	Sincerely,

 	Adam C. Proffitt
