AN ACT relating to intimidation of a sports official. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 518 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
(1) A person is guilty of intimidation of a sports official when he or she, directly or 5
indirectly, makes any threat to a sports official with the intent to cause the sports 6
official to commit, make, or delay any act, decision, or determination regarding a 7
present or future sports contest, if the threat communicates present or future 8
intent to: 9
(a) Cause physical injury to the sports official; 10
(b) Cause physical damage to the property of the sports official; 11
(c) Subject the sports official to physical confinement or restraint; or 12
(d) Commit any other act which is illegal and is intended to substantially harm 13
the sports official's health, safety, or business or financial interests. 14
(2) As used in this section, "sports official" has the same meaning as KRS 518.090. 15
(3) Intimidation of a sports official is a Class A misdemeanor. 16
