AN ACT relating to cancer awareness. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 2 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
(1) May 17 of each year is designated as "Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma 5
Awareness Day" throughout the Commonwealth. 6
(2) The Governor shall proclaim May 17 of each year as "Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine 7
Glioma Awareness Day" to raise awareness and encourage research into 8
effective treatments and cures. 9
Section 2. This Act may be cited as the Candace Metten Act. 10
