AN ACT relating to cancer awareness.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 2 IS CREATED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
(1) May 17 of each year is designated as "Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma Awareness Day" throughout the
Commonwealth.
(2) The Governor shall proclaim May 17 of each year as "Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma Awareness Day" to
raise awareness and encourage research into effective treatments and cures.
Section 2. This Act may be cited as the Candace Metten Act.
