A RESOLUTION recognizing the inaugural Bluegrass World of Wheels Custom 1
Car Show in Louisville, Kentucky. 2
WHEREAS, on January 22 to January 23 of this year, thousands upon thousands of 3
car lovers will flock to the Kentucky Exposition Center for the inaugural Bluegrass World 4
of Wheels Custom Car Show; and 5
WHEREAS, the show will be Louisville's first major indoor custom car show in 6
five years and is the brainchild of a team of local dedicated car owners who have garnered 7
local, regional, and national support for the event; and 8
WHEREAS, the Bluegrass World of Wheels Custom Car Show will feature exhibits 9
of incredible custom race and classic cars, street rods, street machines, and motorcycles, 10
showcasing the hard work of those who sacrificed time and money to transform what 11
others might have viewed as a hooptie or a jalopy into a true work of art; and 12
WHEREAS, the Bluegrass World of Wheels Custom Car Show is certain to have 13
something for every car enthusiast, whether their love of cars came from watching the 14
1968 Mustang GT 390 that Steve McQueen drove in the movie, Bullitt; the canary yellow 15
1963 drop-top Caddy driven by Al Pacino in Scarface; or the Mercury Marquis 16
Brougham driven by John Candy in Uncle Buck; or from the nostalgic memory of your 17
uncle's Buick Electra "Deuce and a Quarter"; and 18
WHEREAS, the Bluegrass World of Wheels Custom Car Show is sanctioned and 19
supported by the International Show Car Association and Championship Auto Show 20
Series, in which the nation's most amazing custom vehicle creations will be competing 21
for points in the highly competitive international championship; and 22
WHEREAS, the Bluegrass World of Wheels Custom Car Show will certainly have 23
a positive financial and emotional impact on the city and residents of Louisville, local and 24
surrounding businesses, the and Commonwealth, car enthusiasts across the country; 25

Section 1. The members of the Senate hereby recognize the importance and 2
benefit of the inaugural Bluegrass World of Wheels Custom Car Show to the 3
Commonwealth and to car enthusiasts across the nation. 4
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor of the 5
Bluegrass World of Wheels Custom Car Show. 6
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 7
Resolution to Senator David Yates for delivery to the organizers of the Bluegrass World 8
of Wheels Custom Car Show. 9
