Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘Section 1. KRS 202A.014 is amended to read as follows: 3
All proceedings for the involuntary hospitalization of mentally ill persons shall be 4
initiated in the District Court of the county where the person to be hospitalized resides or 5
in which he or she may be at the time of the filing of a petition. 6
