AN ACT relating to premises licensed by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 230 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
(1) Each licensed premises regulated by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission 5
shall annually compile information on all law enforcement activities at that 6
licensed premises during the previous calendar year, including: 7
(a) The number of arrests made and citations issued and the law enforcement 8
agency or agencies making the arrest or issuing the citation; 9
(b) A list of the specific offenses charged for each arrest made or citation 10
issued; 11
(c) The number of criminal prosecutions resulting from arrests made or 12
citations issued; 13
(d) The number of convictions resulting from prosecutions reported under 14
paragraph (c) of this subsection; and 15
(e) The location of the closest law enforcement agency or police station to the 16
licensed facility. 17
(2) Each licensed premises shall submit a report containing the information 18
compiled under subsection (1) of this section to the racing commission by March 19
1, 2024, and by March 1 of each year thereafter. 20
(3) No later than September 1, 2024, and by September 1 of each year thereafter, the 21
racing commission shall submit a report to the Interim Joint Committee on 22
Judiciary detailing law enforcement activities at all licensed premises during the 23
previous calendar year. 24
