AN ACT relating to tourism. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘Section 1. KRS 148.0211 is amended to read as follows: 3
(1) Any veteran who has been a prisoner of war, was honorably discharged from the 4
military forces, and is a resident of this state is exempt from camping fees in parks 5
or campgrounds owned or operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 6
(2) To claim the exemption provided for by subsection (1) of this section, a veteran 7
shall forward: 8
(a) A copy of his or her separation form from military service; or 9
(b) A letter from one (1) of the military forces or the United States Department of 10
Veterans Affairs; and 11
(c) Written proof of residence to the Department of Parks. The department shall 12
mail a card to the veteran certifying that he or she is exempt from the fees 13
specified in subsection (1) of this section. 14
