AN ACT relating to branch budget bills. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘Section 1. KRS 48.310 is amended to read as follows: 3
(1) No provision of a branch budget bill shall be effective beyond the second fiscal year 4
from the date of its enactment. 5
(2) A budget bill enacted at a special session or in an odd-numbered-year regular 6
session of the General Assembly shall not be effective past July 1 of the year in 7
which the next even-numbered-year regular session takes place. 8
(3)[(2)] A budget bill may contain language which exempts the budget bill or any 9
appropriation or the use thereof from the operation of a statute for the effective 10
period of the budget bill. 11
