A JOINT RESOLUTION denying the capital construction funds for improvements 1
to Kentucky state parks. 2
WHEREAS, 2022 Ky. Acts ch. 199 requires the General Assembly to approve the 3
comprehensive statewide proposal submitted by Department of Parks; and 4
WHEREAS, the General Assembly recognizes the need for improvements to 5
Kentucky's state park system; and 6
WHEREAS, the General Assembly understands that inflationary factors and supply 7
chain disruptions may cause cost overruns during this time in history; 8
NOW, THEREFORE, 9
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 10
ď˘Section 1. The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hereby 11
denies the Department of Parks' comprehensive statewide proposal dated December 1, 12
2022, for improving properties. The Office of State Budget Director shall not release the 13
$150,000,000 in capital construction funds for use by the Department of Parks in fiscal 14
year 2024 as appropriated by 2022 Ky. Acts ch. 199. 15
