A RESOLUTION recognizing the Blueprint for Kentucky's Children and 1
adjourning in honor of Children's Advocacy Day, February 8, 2023. 2
WHEREAS, every child in Kentucky deserves a strong family, the chance to live in 3
a thriving community, and to have the opportunity to be a successful kid; and 4
WHEREAS, the Blueprint for Kentucky's Children is a coalition of nonprofit, 5
private, and public organizations committed to making Kentucky a great place to be a 6
kid; and 7
WHEREAS, Children's Advocacy Day was established 19 years ago in 2004 as an 8
effort to raise the profile of children's issues among Kentucky's elected leaders; and 9
WHEREAS, Children's Advocacy Day recognizes steps taken by the General 10
Assembly to promote thriving communities, strong families, and successful kids; and 11
WHEREAS, giving a voice to young people through Children's Advocacy Day 12
serves as a powerful vehicle, reminding us all that Kentucky's children are the key to a 13
sustained and prosperous future for the Commonwealth; 14
NOW, THEREFORE, 15
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the 16
Commonwealth of Kentucky: 17
Section 1. The House of Representatives recognize the Blueprint for Kentucky's 18
Children for its role in improving outcomes for the children of the Commonwealth. 19
Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in 20
honor of Children's Advocacy Day, February 8, 2023. 21
Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a 22
copy of this Resolution to Kentucky Youth Advocates, 10200 Linn Station Road, Suite 23
310, Louisville, Kentucky 40223. 24
