A RESOLUTION honoring the life of Ricky Tyler. 1
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler is an honorable citizen of the Commonwealth of 2
Kentucky; and 3
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler honorably served the citizens of the Commonwealth 4
ensuring safe and dependable passage of all on roads throughout Kentucky during his 28 5
years of dedicated service with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway District 1 6
until his much-deserved retirement in August of 2021; and 7
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler exercises his philanthropical pursuits through 8
Freemasonry, of which he has been an active member for more than a quarter century; 9
and 10
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler has been described as a humble man, and men that are 11
humble often have the most of which to be proud; and 12
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler is well known to be a gregarious person who loves people 13
and endeavors to bring joy to those who have the fortune to make his acquaintance; and 14
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler places great energy and dignity into the relationships he 15
makes with people; and 16
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler is known for being a source of inspiration for those in his 17
sphere of influence; and 18
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler, when not exercising philanthropical pursuits, or bringing 19
happiness and inspiration to those around him, can be found on sunny mornings casting a 20
line in a favorite fishing hole, accompanied by his canine pal, Bluey; and 21
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler is the loving and beloved husband of Ashley Tyler and 22
the caring and cherished father of Lane and Brookelyn Tyler; and 23
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler is a devout Christian, personifying his faith in every 24
action, and follows what we are all instructed to do in Deuteronomy 6:5 by Moses as his 25
people prepared to enter Canaan: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart 26

WHEREAS, we are told in John 14:2-4, "My Father's house has many rooms; if 1
that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 2
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that 3
you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."; and 4
WHEREAS, Ricky Tyler, while residing on this Earth, embodies the love that 5
Christ and God have for us, and knows, as do we, that He has prepared a room for him; 6
NOW, THEREFORE, 7
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 8
Kentucky: 9
Section 1. The Senate hereby honors Ricky Tyler, public servant, loving and 10
beloved husband, father, friend, and servant of God, for a distinguished and truly 11
honorable life. 12
Section 2. The Senate holds forth the life of Ricky Tyler as one that is worthy 13
of emulation, and so emulated, would raise the tide of prosperity and contentment for all 14
citizens of the Commonwealth. 15
Section 3. The Senate expresses its deepest desire for the admiration of this 16
august body, and the love of family, friends, and God to be a comfort for all days on this 17
Earth. 18
Section 4. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 19
Resolution to Senator Danny Carroll for presentation to Ricky Tyler and his family. 20
