A RESOLUTION honoring the North Bullitt High School cheerleaders, 2023 1 
Universal Cheerleaders Association National and World Champions. 2 
WHEREAS, the North Bullitt High School cheerleading squad finished in third 3 
place at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Cheerleading Championships in 4 
December, 2022; and 5 
WHEREAS, after this loss, the North Bullitt High School cheerleaders were 6 
determined to improve the difficulty of their routine and scores going into the Universal 7 
Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Championship in the Super Varsity Division II 8 
Non-Tumbling category at Disney World in Orlando, Florida; and 9 
WHEREAS, the North Bullitt High School cheerleaders took the extraordinary step 10 
of changing their routine mid-season, putting in countless hours of practice and repetition 11 
to perfect their floor routine, removing tumbling passes, and adding in more difficult 12 
stunts and pyramids; and 13 
WHEREAS, the North Bullitt High School cheerleaders competed in the UCA 14 
National and World High School Cheerleading Championships and executed their routine 15 
with precision in the final round, improving upon their semifinal round score by five 16 
points, posting a 92.2 tally score; and 17 
WHEREAS, their impeccable performance won them the title of National High 18 
School Cheer Competition Champions and World School Cheerleading Champions, 19 
becoming the first cheerleading squad to bring home National and World Cheer 20 
Championship wins for North Bullitt High School; and 21 
WHEREAS, members of the squad included Elisabeth Boggs, Sophie Tipton, Rylee 22 
Foster, Kai Hagan, Chey Lindsey, Natalie Morgan, Hannah Werner, Vivian Daugherty, 23 
Lora Hicks, Lauren Kreutzer, Kiri Mellick, Madison Montgomery, Kaitlynn Newman, 24 
Maya Werner, Dadie Reece, Sydney Bailey, Gracelyn Boggs, Katie Franklin, Addison 25 
Keeling, Lily Larson, Hailey Smith, Ava Thisxton, Alejandra Rodriquez Guemes, Amy 26

WHEREAS, coach Destiny Watson expressed her pride in her squad, stating "This 1 
team has been special, for we have pivoted so much and it has not been easy. They 2 
persevered and stuck it out when we have had to make hard decisions that were best for 3 
the team"; and  4 
WHEREAS, the dedication, tenacity, and teamwork shown by the North Bullitt 5 
High School cheerleaders on their journey to becoming National and World Cheer 6 
Champions sets a worthy example for young athletes across the Commonwealth, and it is 7 
wholly appropriate that they be publicly recognized for their hard work and 8 
achievements; 9 
NOW, THEREFORE, 10 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11 
Kentucky: 12 
Section 1. The members of the Senate join Senator Mike Nemes in 13 
congratulating the North Bullitt Cheerleaders and coach Destiny Watson on their 2023 14 
UCA Division II National and World Championship title wins, and wishing all squad 15 
members, coaches, and staff good fortune in all future endeavors. 16 
Section 2.   The Clerk of the Senate shall transmit a copy of this Resolution to 17 
Senator Mike Nemes for presentation to the team. 18
