A RESOLUTION honoring Dawson Nagle and the North Oldham Mustangs, 2022 1
Kentucky High School Athletic Association Class 2A 4x200 meter relay champions. 2
WHEREAS, On June 3, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Track and Field 3
Complex in Lexington during the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Class 2A 4
Track and Field Finals, the North Oldham Mustangs captured the boys 4x200 meter relay 5
championship, with a time of 1:29.33; and 6
WHEREAS, the members of the winning Mustang squad were Blake Wetzel, 7
Skylar Taylor, Dawson Nagle, and Owen Ruggles; and 8
WHEREAS, the 10 points earned by the Mustangs in this event were key in 9
amassing the 62 points that earned the team a 3rd place finish in the boys' team event; 10
and 11
WHEREAS, the Mustangs showed great skill in all the relays, with the 4x400 relay 12
team of Andrew Chesser, Skylar Taylor, Jake Pyles, and Brendan Ruggles winning that 13
event; and 14
WHEREAS, the Mustangs team of Owen Ruggles, Luke Canfield, Blake Wetzel, 15
and Dawson Nagle captured third place the boys 4x100 meter relay as well; and 16
WHEREAS, in what is usually viewed as an individual sport, the relay competitions 17
are the ultimate test of teamwork, where great athleticism must be combined with 18
clockwork precision; and 19
WHEREAS, the dedication, athleticism, and teamwork displayed by the North 20
Oldham Mustangs set an example for young athletes across the Commonwealth and are 21
worthy of acclaim; 22
NOW, THEREFORE, 23
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 24
Kentucky: 25
Section 1. The members of the Senate join Senator Jimmy Higdon in honoring 26

congratulating him on his many athletic accomplishments, and wishing him good fortune 1
in all future endeavors. 2
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall transmit a copy of this Resolution to 3
Senator Jimmy Higdon for presentation to Dawson Nagle. 4
