A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Edwin Ray Orange to the Eastern 1
Kentucky University Board of Regents. 2
WHEREAS, on July 1, 2022, in accordance with KRS 164.321 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2022-359, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Edwin Ray Orange to the 4
Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents to replace Ramakrishna Vasudevan for a 5
term expiring June 30, 2028; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Edwin Ray Orange has been determined to meet the requirements of 8
KRS 164.321; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Edwin Ray Orange 13
to the Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Edwin Ray Orange of Frankfort, Franklin County, 16
Kentucky and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 17
