A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Joshua Daniel Hicks to the Board 1
of Claims. 2
WHEREAS, on April 28, 2022, in accordance with KRS 49.020 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2022-227, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Joshua Daniel Hicks to 4
the Board of Claims for a term expiring June 29, 2025; and 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, Joshua Daniel Hicks has been determined to meet the requirements of 7
KRS 49.020, being an attorney with the qualifications of candidates for Circuit Judge and 8
having a background and working knowledge of Kentucky tort law; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Joshua Daniel Hicks 13
to the Board of Claims. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Joshua Daniel Hicks, of Lexington, Fayette County, 16
Kentucky and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 17
