AN ACT relating to assistant county attorneys.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
ď˘Section 1. KRS 69.300 is amended to read as follows:
The assistant county attorneys shall[ reside in the county in which the county attorney is elected, or within thirty (30)
miles of the county line, or in a contiguous county and shall] be attorneys licensed to practice in the
Commonwealth[,] and shall have the same powers and perform the same duties that county attorneys have and
perform, except that they shall be under the direction and control of the county attorney.
