A RESOLUTION honoring the Blueprint for Kentucky's Children and adjourning 1
in honor of Children's Advocacy Day, January 24, 2024. 2
WHEREAS, every child in Kentucky deserves the chance to live in a thriving 3
community, be part of a strong family, and have the opportunity to be a successful kid; 4
and 5
WHEREAS, the Blueprint for Kentucky's Children is a coalition of nonprofit, 6
private, and public organizations committed to making Kentucky a great place to be a 7
kid; and 8
WHEREAS, the Blueprint for Kentucky's Children calls for policies that promote 9
thriving communities, strong families, and successful kids in order to create a prosperous 10
future for Kentucky; and 11
WHEREAS, Children's Advocacy Day was established 20 years ago in 2004 as an 12
effort to raise the profile of children's issues among Kentucky's elected leaders; and 13
WHEREAS, Children's Advocacy Day recognizes steps taken by the General 14
Assembly to promote thriving communities, strong families, and successful kids; and 15
WHEREAS, giving a voice to young people through Children's Advocacy Day 16
serves as a powerful vehicle, reminding us all that Kentucky's children are the key to a 17
sustained and prosperous future for the Commonwealth; 18
NOW, THEREFORE, 19
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the 20
Commonwealth of Kentucky: 21
Section 1. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in 22
honor of Children's Advocacy Day, January 24, 2024. 23
Section 2. The House of Representatives acknowledges the Blueprint for 24
Kentucky's Children for its role in improving outcomes for the children of the 25
Commonwealth. 26
