A RESOLUTION honoring Father Rick Bolte upon the auspicious occasion of his 1
Ruby Jubilee, an extraordinary milestone marking 40 years of devoted service as a priest 2
of the Catholic faith. 3
WHEREAS, Father Rick Bolte had long thought of becoming a priest and, due in 4
part to the influence of priests in his younger years, was ordained to the priesthood on 5
June 4, 1983; and 6
WHEREAS, since becoming ordained, Father Rick Bolte has been either a resident, 7
teacher, counselor, Associate Pastor, or Pastor at nine different parishes and schools; and 8
WHEREAS, Father Rick Bolte dedicated much of his early priesthood to the 9
students at Holy Cross District High School in Latonia where he served as a religion 10
teacher and counselor from 1983 until 1993; and 11
WHEREAS, during his time at Holy Cross District High School, Father Rick Bolte 12
also served as the Associate Pastor of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Independence from 13
1983 until 1988. He then went on to serve as Associate Pastor of St. Paul Parish in 14
Florence from 1993 until 1995; and 15
WHEREAS, in his priesthood, Father Rick Bolte has served as the Pastor of several 16
parishes, including Corpus Christi in Newport from 1995 until 1997 and Holy Spirit 17
Parish in Newport from 1997 until 2005; and 18
WHEREAS, since 2005, Father Rick Bolte has served the diocese as Pastor of St. 19
Timothy Catholic Church in Union; and 20
WHEREAS, Father Rick Bolte has been held in high regard for leading one of the 21
fastest growing parishes in the diocese through the development of a parish school, a 22
significant school expansion, and a church renovation; and 23
WHEREAS, over the years, Father Rick Bolte has been a faithful and committed 24
servant of God in his many and varied assignments; and 25
WHEREAS, Father Rick Bolte's tireless devotion to offer spiritual guidance and 26

flourished as a consequence of his generous and faithful service throughout the last 40 1
years; 2
NOW, THEREFORE, 3
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 4
Kentucky: 5
Section 1. The members of the Senate, both individually and collectively, do 6
hereby offer their sincere commendation and gratitude to Father Rick Bolte for 7
exemplary service over the past four decades and extend their warmest wishes for future 8
success and good fortune as he continues to serve his congregation, community, and the 9
Commonwealth of Kentucky. 10
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this 11
Resolution to Father Rick Bolte, St. Timothy Catholic Church, 10272 U.S. 42, Union, 12
Kentucky 41091. 13
