UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 2056 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 2/23/2024 8:02 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Doug 1 Brewer. 2 WHEREAS, Doug Brewer was born on May 24, 1951, to Millard and Clemintine 3 Meadows Brewer as one of three sons; and 4 WHEREAS, Doug Brewer was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, 5 having served his country with dedication and honor; and 6 WHEREAS, Doug Brewer served with distinction, fostering camaraderie and esprit 7 de corps within his Air Force squadron; and 8 WHEREAS, Doug Brewer's commitment to duty was balanced by his unwavering 9 devotion to his family, creating a haven of strength and affection; and 10 WHEREAS, Doug Brewer departed this earthly life on February 12, 2024, at the 11 age of 72 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents and two 12 brothers, Perry and Jack Randall Brewer; and 13 WHEREAS, Doug Brewer is survived by his wife, Dee Dee, as well as their son, 14 Neal (Allison) Douglas, daughter Julie Nicole (Jason) Tackett, and four grandchildren; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, 16 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 17 Kentucky: 18 Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its most profound sympathies upon 19 the passing of Doug Brewer and extends heartfelt condolences to his family in this time 20 of loss. 21 Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 22 memory of Doug Brewer. 23 Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 24 Resolution to Senator Phillip Wheeler for delivery to the family. 25
