A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Justine 1 
Collins. 2 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins, was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, on March 30, 1948, 3 
to the late Wade and Marie Syck Collins; and 4 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother; 5 
and 6 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins loved the Lord and was a devout member of First 7 
Baptist Church of Elkhorn City, Kentucky; and 8 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins was a cosmetologist and beautician; and 9 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins loved her family deeply and was a light to everyone 10 
who knew her; and 11 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins departed this earthly life on January 3, 2024, at the 12 
Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky, leaving her friends, family, 13 
and all those whose lives she touched in solemn mourning; and 14 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. 15 
James Dennis; brothers, Jack Collins and Paul Collins; and sisters, Mildred Binnix, Joann 16 
Ferrel, and Melster Belcher; and 17 
WHEREAS, Justine Collins is survived by her children, Dr. Greg (Dr. Johanna 18 
Hensley) Hackney; Wade Jacobson, Jonda Marie Ramsey, and Halie Ramsey; 19 
grandchild, Bella Jacobson; brothers Bruce (Phyllis) Collins, Gary (Sharon) Collins, and 20 
Randy Collins; and many other cherished, extended family members; 21 
NOW, THEREFORE, 22 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 23 
Kentucky: 24 
Section 1.   The members of the Senate, individually and collectively, hereby 25 
express their most profound sympathy upon the passing of Justine Collins and extend 26

Section 2.   When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 1
