A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Elizabeth Griffin McCoy to the 1
University of Kentucky Board of Trustees. 2
WHEREAS, on May 11, 2023, in accordance with KRS 164.131 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2023-257, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Elizabeth Griffin McCoy 4
to the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees to replace Thomas Abell for the 5
remainder of an unexpired term ending June 30, 2028; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Griffin McCoy has been determined to meet the 8
requirements of KRS 164.131; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Elizabeth Griffin 13
McCoy to the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Elizabeth Griffin McCoy of Hopkinsville, Christian 16
County, Kentucky, and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, 17
Kentucky 40601. 18
