UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 2524 Page 1 of 2 XXXX 4/11/2024 10:47 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Jack 1 Randall Burchett. 2 WHEREAS, Jack Randall Burchett was born on January 15, 1930, the son of the 3 late Oak, Mae, and Hazel Burchett; and 4 WHEREAS, Jack Randall Burchett was a hard worker who honorably served this 5 great nation as a dirigible mechanic in the United States Navy and went on to work in the 6 insurance industry for 60 years; and 7 WHEREAS, Jack Randall Burchett was a devoted and loving husband, father, 8 grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in 9 Pikeville, Kentucky; and 10 WHEREAS, Jack Randall Burchett was an impeccable example of generosity, 11 selflessness, honesty, and happiness. He positively touched the lives of all those who had 12 the privilege of knowing him; and 13 WHEREAS, Jack Randall Burchett passed away on April 4, 2024. In addition to his 14 parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Burchett, and his sister, Eula Mae 15 VanHoose; and 16 WHEREAS, Jack Randall Burchett is survived by his sons, Jack Oakley (Kathy) 17 Burchett and Thomas Franklin (Tiffany) Burchett; his daughters, Donna Burchett Kendra, 18 Deborah (Rick) Murphy, Susan Huffman, and Linda Greer; 12 grandchildren; six great-19 grandchildren; and countless others who loved him; 20 NOW, THEREFORE, 21 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 22 Kentucky: 23 Section 1. The Senate hereby extends its most profound sympathy upon the 24 passing of Jack Randall Burchett and expresses heartfelt condolences to his family in this 25 time of loss. 26 Section 2.
