A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of G.L. Ovey to the Murray State 1
University Board of Regents. 2
WHEREAS, on July 10, 2023, in accordance with KRS 164.321 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2023-371, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Glycon Lee "G.L." Ovey 4
to the Murray State University Board of Regents to replace Don Tharpe for a term 5
expiring July 9, 2029; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, G.L. Ovey has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 8
164.321; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of G.L. Ovey to the 13
Murray State University Board of Regents. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to G.L. Ovey of Eddyville, Lyon County, Kentucky, and to 16
Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
