A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Jessica 1
Hill. 2
WHEREAS, Jessica Hill was born on July 3, 1989, to Tim and Michele Hill; and 3
WHEREAS, Jessica Hill graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and 4
received her bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University; and 5
WHEREAS, Jessica Hill was a federal program specialist for the Kentucky 6
Department for Local Government. In that position, Jessica worked with the Land and 7
Water Conservation Fund and helped many local governments acquire federal grant 8
money for new parks and outdoor facilities; and 9
WHEREAS, Jessica Hill loved her family and was known for her kind spirit. 10
Jessica protected nature and had a compassion for all living things. Jessica loved pizza, 11
video games, music festivals, camping, gardening, theater, and art museums; and 12
WHEREAS, Jessica Hill loved exploring new places, different cultures, and the 13
beauty of nature to create glorious memories with family and friends; and 14
WHEREAS, Jessica Hill possessed an indomitable spirit, a tireless work ethic, 15
unwavering loyalty, a zest for life, and courage and resiliency which inspired her family 16
and all who knew her; and 17
WHEREAS, Jessica Hill passed from this life on March 8, 2024. She was survived 18
by her loving husband, Aaron Burch; her beloved daughter, Madeline Burchill; devoted 19
parents; sister, Brittany (Cory) Middendorf; brother, Chase Hill; nephew, Luke 20
Middendorf; two grandmothers; several aunts and uncles; a host of cousins; cherished 21
best friends, Leslie and Adam Weber; and her beloved cats; 22
NOW, THEREFORE, 23
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 24
Kentucky: 25
Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its most profound sympathy upon 26

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 2
