A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Janice 1 
Bowling Wesley. 2 
WHEREAS, Janice Bowling Wesley was born on June 18, 1946, in Oneida, 3 
Kentucky, to the late Edd "Jack" Bowling and Virginia Binder Bowling; and 4 
WHEREAS, Janice Wesley was united in marriage to David Paul Wesley and was 5 
known as a loyal wife to her husband, a phenomenal mother to her sons, and the best 6 
"Nana" to her grandchildren; and 7 
WHEREAS, Janice Wesley never knew a stranger and had a gift for making people 8 
smile. She served her Lord and community as a dedicated church member throughout her 9 
life, which included attending Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington, First Baptist 10 
Church in Ashland, First Baptist Church in Russell, and most recently The Creek in 11 
London; and 12 
WHEREAS, Janice Wesley spent her life working in many jobs, usually in sales for 13 
retail stores in Lexington and Ashland. She was also the owner of Bellefonte Floral in 14 
Ashland for 11 years, which she regarded as her greatest professional achievement; and 15 
WHEREAS, Janice Wesley went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, 16 
March 28, 2024; and 17 
WHEREAS, Janice Wesley is survived by her sons, Edward Rex Wesley and Mark 18 
David (Deena) Wesley; her siblings, Judy Bruner, Joyce Nicely, Jack Bowling, and Jayna 19 
(Byron) Alexander; her grandchildren, Kori Janee Wesley, Kyle James (Ashlyn) Wesley, 20 
and Konnor John Wesley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends 21 
who mourn her passing; 22 
NOW, THEREFORE, 23 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 24 
Kentucky: 25 
Section 1.   The Senate does hereby express its most profound sympathy upon 26 
the passing of Janice Bowling Wesley, and extends its heartfelt condolences to her family 27  UNOFFICIAL COPY  	24 RS BR 2519

Section 2.   When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 2
