A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of John L. Holbrook to the 1
Morehead State University Board of Regents. 2
WHEREAS, on July 10, 2023, in accordance with KRS 164.321 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2023-370, Governor Andy Beshear appointed John L. Holbrook to the 4
Morehead State University Board of Regents to replace Deborah Haydon Long for a term 5
expiring July 9, 2029; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, John L. Holbrook has been determined to meet the requirements of 8
KRS 164.321; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of John L. Holbrook to 13
the Morehead State University Board of Regents. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to John L. Holbrook of Sandy Hook, Elliott County, 16
Kentucky, and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 17
40601. 18
