FISCAL EXPLANATION : The measure is estimated to cost $810,000 annually, including $560,000 for personnel and $250,000 for operating expenses. The executive director, appointed by the secretary, will have a total compensation, including fringe benefits, of $260,000. Office staff positions, possibly classified at grades 17 or 18, will have a total compensation, including fringe benefits, of $150,000 for each position. For fiscal year 2025, the benefit rate for personnel positions is approximately 70 percent. The cabinet plans to hire two positions. Operating costs, estimated at $250,000, will cover operations, marketing, resources, and travel.
