A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Garth Bustle to the Eastern 1
Kentucky University Board of Regents. 2
WHEREAS, on October 15, 2024, in accordance with KRS 164.321 and by virtue 3
of Executive Order 2024-699, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Garth Bustle to the 4
Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents to replace Lynn Tye for a term expiring 5
June 30, 2030; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Garth Bustle has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 8
164.321; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Garth Bustle to the 13
Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Garth Bustle of London, Laurel County, Kentucky, and to 16
Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
