A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Edward Holmes to the Energy 1
Planning and Inventory Commission Executive Committee. 2
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2024, in accordance with KRS 164.2807 and by 3
virtue of Executive Order 2024-611, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Edward Holmes 4
to the Energy Planning and Inventory Commission Executive Committee; and 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, Edward Holmes has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 7
164.2807, having the same level of education, training, and professional experience as 8
would be required to serve in the role of chief executive officer or board member of a 9
company engaged in the production of coal; 10
NOW, THEREFORE, 11
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 12
Kentucky: 13
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Edward Holmes to 14
the Energy Planning and Inventory Commission Executive Committee for a term 15
expiring July 1, 2027, in accordance with 2024 Ky. Acts ch. 172. sec. 5. 16
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 17
notification of its adoption to Edward Holmes of Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, 18
and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 19
