UNOFFICIAL COPY 25 RS BR 2065 Page 1 of 2 XXXX 3/21/2025 9:32 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Scottie 1 Bryant. 2 WHEREAS, Scottie Bryant was born on August 22, 1954, to the late Hilliard and 3 Flo Ruth Rowe Bryant; and 4 WHEREAS, Scottie Bryant was a loving husband for 51 years to his wife, 5 Katherine Lee Justice Bryant; and 6 WHEREAS, Scottie Bryant worked as a proud coal miner in Kentucky for over 29 7 years; and 8 WHEREAS, Scottie Bryant was a man of strong faith who served as a Deacon, a 9 member of the Board of Trustees, and a founding member of Victory Christian Ministries 10 in Pikeville, Kentucky; and 11 WHEREAS, Scottie Bryant passed from this life on February 15, 2025; and 12 WHEREAS, Scottie Bryant was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, 13 Shawn Bryant; and 14 WHEREAS, in addition to his wife, Scottie Bryant is survived by their beloved son, 15 Nathan (Kiera Lea) Scott; two grandsons, Andrew Scott Bryant and Oliver Sesco; four 16 granddaughters, Kaylin Melissa Bryant, Aubrey Jaide Bryant, Cadence Ratliff, and 17 Quinnleigh Sesco; one brother, Shannon (Thearose) Bryant; one sister, Sheila (Jimmy) 18 Elkins; several nephews and nieces, including Tina Lynn Simpson, who was devoted to 19 her Uncle Scottie and Aunt Kathy; and a host of loving family and friends; and 20 WHEREAS, Scottie Bryant will be deeply missed by all who knew him; 21 NOW, THEREFORE, 22 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 23 Kentucky: 24 Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its most profound sympathy upon the 25 passing of Scottie Bryant. 26 Section 2.
