A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Jimmy "Jay" Smith to the Fish 1
and Wildlife Resources Commission. 2
WHEREAS, on January 20, 2025, in accordance with KRS 150.022 and by virtue 3
of Executive Order 2025-017, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Jimmy "Jay" Smith to 4
the Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission for a term expiring December 31, 2028; and 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, Jimmy "Jay" Smith has been determined to meet the requirements of 7
KRS 150.022, representing the First Commission District; 8
NOW, THEREFORE, 9
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 10
Kentucky: 11
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Jimmy "Jay" Smith 12
to the Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission. 13
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 14
notification of its adoption to Jimmy "Jay" Smith of Paducah, McCracken County, 15
Kentucky, and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Suite 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 16
