COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES:  Provides relative to requirements for enrolling in public
postsecondary education institutions
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 17:3152, relative to enrollment in institutions of postsecondary education; to2
provide for a date by which certain tests must be taken in order for applicants to be3
considered for admission into such institutions; to provide an effective date; and to4
provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  R.S. 17:3152 is hereby enacted to read as follows:7
ยง3152.  Consideration of admission applications;  American College Test8
Each public institution of postsecondary education that requires an American9
College Test score as a criterion for admission shall accept scores from any test date10
prior to July first in evaluating students for admission to such institution in the fall11
semester or fall quarter of that year.12
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010; if vetoed by the governor13
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,14
2010, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.15 HLS 10RS-1786	ORIGINAL
