ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES:  Provides relative to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 26:282, relative to the application process by the office of2
alcohol and tobacco control; to authorize the filing of criminal charges for3
misstatement or suppression of fact in the application process for a permit to conduct4
business dealing with beverages of low alcoholic content; and to provide for related5
matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1.  R.S. 26:282 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 8
ยง282.  Misstatement or suppression of fact in application9
Any misstatement or suppression of fact in an application or accompanying10
affidavit is a ground for the denial, withholding, or suspension of a permit in the11
manner provided in this Chapter, and may also include the filing of criminal charges.12

in the application process for a permit to sell beverages of low alcoholic content.
Present law provides that any misstatement or suppression of fact in an application or
accompanying affidavit is a ground for the denial, withholding, or suspension of a permit. HLS 10RS-1723	ORIGINAL

Proposed law provides that the commissioner may also file criminal charges for
misstatements and suppression of facts in the application process and otherwise retains
present law.
