GERMAIN, TALBOT, TEMPLET, THIBAUT, AND WHITE AND SENATORS ALARIO, APPEL, BROOME, GUILLORY, LONG, MARTINY, MORRELL, MOUNT, AND WALSWORTH MTR VEHICLE/DRIVER LIC: Provides for suspension of driver's license upon premature removal of ignition interlock device AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 32:667(J), relative to driver's licenses; to provide for driver's license2 suspension for removal of ignition interlock device; and to provide for related3 matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 32:667(J) is hereby enacted to read as follows:6 ยง667. Proposed law requires DPS&C to suspend the driver's license of drivers who prematurely disable an ignition interlock device installed as a condition of reinstated driving privileges. Proposed law provides that the suspension shall last until the driver provides proof that the ignition interlock has been reinstalled and applicable reinstatement fees have been paid.
