HOUSE BILL NO. 1311
BY REPRESENTATIVE GUILLORY
PUBLIC LANDS/STATE:  Provides for the transfer of state property to the city of Eunice
AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer or lease of certain state property in St. Landry2
Parish to the city of Eunice from the division of administration; and to provide for3
related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. The commissioner of the division of administration, notwithstanding any6
other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey,7
transfer, assign, lease, and deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have8
to the following described property to the city of Eunice:9
Lot No. Three (3) of Block Fourteen (14) of the Frisco Heights Addition to the City10
of Eunice, measuring 100 feet running East and West along the South side of11
Roosevelt Avenue and measuring 101 feet running North and South between parallel12
lines, and adjudicated to the State of Louisiana in 1923 and in 1933 for unpaid taxes.13
Section 2. The commissioner of the division of administration, on behalf of the state14
of Louisiana, is hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and15
stipulations and to execute such documents as are necessary to properly effectuate any16
conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the17
property described in Section 1 herein, and as more specifically described in any such18
agreements entered into and documents executed by and between the commissioner of the19
division of administration and the city of Eunice, in exchange of consideration proportionate20
to the appraised value of the property.21
Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not22
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature23 HLS 10RS-2635	ORIGINAL

by the governor, as provided in Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If1
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become2
effective on the day following such approval.3
