ACT No. 187 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 150 BY REPRESENTATIVES LIGI AND WILLMOTT AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 15:255(N), relative to the mayor's court of the city of Kenner; to provide for2 the allocation of monies collected in the witness fee fund; to provide for the use of3 such monies; to prohibit the reduction of monies in the fund below fifty thousand4 dollars; and to provide for related matters.5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published6 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of7 Louisiana.8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:9 Section 1. R.S. 15:255(N) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 10 ยง255. Witness fees to off-duty law enforcement officers11 * * *12 N. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the city of Kenner13 may adopt an ordinance which provides that on July first of each year, the amount14 of money in the witness fee fund for the mayor's court of the city of Kenner which15 exceeds fifty thousand dollars shall be transferred to the general fund of the city of16 Kenner to be used solely for purchasing equipment for the police department of the17 city of Kenner.
