HLS 10RS-699 ENGROSSED Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 332 BY REPRESENTATIVE NOWLIN LIBRARIES: Provides relative to the Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission AN ACT1 To repeal R.S. 13:997 and Act No. 492 of the 1962 Regular Session of the Legislature,2 relative to the Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission; to repeal such3 commission and the powers, rights, and duties of such commission; to provide for4 the transfer of any obligations, property, records, and employees of the commission;5 and to provide for related matters.6 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published7 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of8 Louisiana.9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:10 Section 1. R.S. 13:997 and Act No. 492 of the 1962 Regular Session of the11 Legislature are hereby repealed in their entirety.12 Section 2. The Tenth Judicial District Court shall be the successor to the13 Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission. Present law further provides for the funding of the district through the levy of a filing fee on certain classes of cases docketed by the clerk of court for Natchitoches Parish. Proposed law repeals present law. Proposed law further provides that the 10th JDC shall be the successor to the Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission and shall receive all obligations, property, records, and employees of the commission.
