AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 22:1856(F), relative to pharmacy claims; to provide relative to determination2
of processing fees on such claims; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1. R.S. 22:1856(F) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 5
ยง1856. Thirty-day payment standard; limitations on claim filing and audits;6
remittance advice7

F. No health insurance issuer or its agent shall unilaterally determine the9
amount of any processing fee on each claim but shall decide that amount in10
conjunction with the affected pharmacist or pharmacy.11
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on January 1, 2011.12
