HOUSE BILL NO. 345

BANKS/BANKING:  Provides for changes to the Additional Default Remedies Act
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 6:965(D), relative to the Additional Default Remedies Act.2
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:3
Section 1.  R.S. 6:965(D) is hereby repealed in its entirety.4

Abstract: Removes a notice required in security agreements of motor vehicles.
Present law provides that when a secured party seeks to utilize the Additional Default
Remedies Act, the security agreement of a motor vehicle shall include: "Louisiana law
permits repossession of motor vehicles without judicial process".
Proposed law repeals present law.
