Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 37 BY REPRESENTATIVE GARY SMITH CORRECTIONS: Reduces the length of time DPS&C is required to retain certain records AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 44:36(D), relative to public records; to reduce the time required2 for the Department of Public Safety and Corrections to retain records regarding adult3 offenders; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 44:36(D) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง36. Preservation of records7 * * *8 D.
